Civil War Lady's Book Shoppe YOUR HISTORY CONNECTION Two Trails Publishing has been in business since 1992, marketing primary source research material in pamplet and book form, both soft and hardcover.
One of our books,'The Civil War In Missouri, Day by Day, 1861 to 1865', is deemed a Missouri Classic, and is required reading for many of our re-enactor friends.
Our site at:http://www.cwbkladybookshoppe.com has many interesting facets, including 'The Blue and Grey Chronicles', a quarterly news letter with many stories of interest about events in the Civil War era, plus upcoming local events. Also included are events that happened during the conflict that we feel our readers will find interesting.
We also try to keep abreast of upcoming events and pass the information along to our readers. I mentioned earlier we had been in business since 1992,however,that date represents when I began to publish. My research began many years prior when I began tracing the genealogy of my family. Beginning with Hinrich Zimmerman(Anglisized to Carpenter) when he immigrated to Pennsylvania circa 1704, my interest grew and grew as I followed my ancestors westward, first to Ohio and then to Missouri. As I delved into the happenings during the Civil War era, I became facinated with this turbulent period of our past. As I studied the records and expanded the scope of my research, I began to realize how little of the materiel was readily available to the casual researcher or genealogist. It was during this period I began writing and publishing my work under the "Two Trails Publishing" banner.
As we grew, I began publishing work for other authors who, like myself, needed an outlet for their efforts. Now much of our materiel, since it is almost all prime source, is used and cited by many other writers and researchers.
